Westwood Dental UPDATE 05/01/2021 - We would like to reassure all our patients that we remain OPEN, providing all our normal routine Dental Services throughout the third National Lockdown, from the 5th January 2021.
We may be prioritising the vulnerable or those with the most urgent dental needs.
We want to reassure you that we carry out very strict necessary COVID procedures, also continuing religiously with stringent Cross Infection Control measures throughout the day enabling us to keep all our patients and staff safe.
Our whole team have been fully trained with Covid procedures, which are continuously being updated and we want to reassure you that our practice will remain open during this time and that we are here for you.
Please note that due to the many Covid procedures and the Health and Safety of our patients, the waiting room/WC facilities remain closed. Please refer to your appointment/confirmation email for more info.

Aman qualified from Guy’s, King’s & St Thomas’ Dental Institute in 2007. Alongside cosmetic dentistry, he focused and applied his skills in facial aesthetics. He is able to offer an extensive range of non-surgical facial aesthetic procedures.
He is committed to postgraduate education and has attended numerous national and international post-graduate courses and conferences in order to keep abreast with current advances in aesthetic, reconstructive and implant dentistry
Aman has had formal training from the well-recognised Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD) and has a keen interest in treating nervous and dental phobic patients. He uses a variety of advanced sedation techniques with IV Sedation & Oral Sedation used as a combination for needle phobic patients.
BDS, LDS RCS(Eng), MFGDP(UK), PG Cert Med Ed
Jamal qualified as a dentist from Manchester University in 1991. He spent a year working as a House Officer at the city’s University Dental Hospital before entering general practice in 1993. Having worked in Accrington as a vocational trainee, Jamal relocated to Slough in 1999 to take up the position of Senior Dentist at Boots Dental Care Centre of Excellence. He joined Westwood Dental Practice in 2005. Jamal has a keen interest in improving patients’ smiles, based on a foundation of good dental health.
Jamal is married with three children. In his spare time, he is actively involved in local charitable work, enjoys golf and reading and is a keen wildlife enthusiast.
BDS (Hons), MFDS RCSEd, PG Cert Med Ed
Ramona qualified from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2009 with a BDS (Hons), a second-year prize for "best overall student" and a publication in the Barts and The London Chronicle for her elective studies.
After graduating she was accepted within the Oxford Deanery for foundation training, which started off her career at Westwood Dental Practice. To develop her clinical career further, she completed Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons (Ed) as a postgraduate qualification.
She has a keen interest in training future dentists and has been acting as a Foundation Dentist Trainer and Therapist trainer at the practice since 2013 with the Oxford Deanery. Her role has encompassed mentoring, assessing their clinical supervision and guidance on career development. She encourages continued professional development and regularly attends postgraduate courses to keep up-to-date with current dental techniques.
She furthered her interest in dental education by completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical and Dental Education in 2015.
Her other achievements include being selected as a finalist for the Young Dentist of the Year Awards for three years in a row!
Aside from her busy schedule in dentistry, she enjoys yoga, music and is an avid singer. Her musical skills also include playing the flute and piano.
BDS (Manc) BSc Hons (London) MFDS RCS (Glasgow)
Dr Sankla qualified from the University of Manchester in 2013. She completed her foundation training in Aylesbury Buckinghamshire; then went on to train for 2 years in Maxillofacial Surgery at North Manchester General Hospital and the major trauma hospital in South London, St George’s, mainly carrying out difficult surgical procedures for adults and children under local and general anaesthesia.
She has also gained a post grad qualification from Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow) (2013). Recently she complemented her skills by taking the one year Aspire Advanced Operative Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry in London supervised by Richard Porter and Raheel Malik. She has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and complex oral surgery.
In her free time she enjoys going to the gym and keeping healthy. She loves travelling to new places and trying different cuisines. She hopes to travel abroad to provide dentistry to underprivileged communities in the developing world.
